This residence was envisioned as a private sanctuary a contemporary retreat designed for a modern man who values focus, restraint, and intentional living. A client entrusted our team with the full design and furnishing of his home, allowing us to draw from an established relationship and a clear understanding of his lifestyle, tastes, and expectations.

The architecture carries a subtle industrial undertone, which we refined through the introduction of a custom concrete-look shelving installation. Both functional and sculptural, it serves as a strong architectural statement while offering a composed backdrop for the client’s curated collection. Gaming elements and collectibles are displayed with discipline and balance, reading as integrated design features rather than decorative excess.

Referred to by the client as his “zen house,” the home was conceived as a space that supports deep focus, restoration, and self-expression. It functions equally as a work environment and a place to unwind—serene, controlled, and deeply personal.

The interiors are anchored by a dark, masculine palette, layered with natural materials including solid walnut, California oak, cotton, and cashmere. This material composition establishes a sense of understated luxury—rich yet restrained, warm without softness. Select moments were designed as intentional focal points, allowing personal interests to be expressed architecturally and with clarity.

To counterbalance the rawness of concrete, tactile layers were introduced through textured fabrics, linen, subtle nautical influences, and patterned bedding. These elements soften the space while preserving its tailored edge, reinforcing a sense of calm and comfort essential to rest and recovery.

The result is a modern luxury retreat that feels deliberate and effortless—grounded, refined, and built for everyday living. A home that reflects its owner with quiet confidence, offering a disciplined yet inviting environment designed for longevity, clarity, and personal enjoyment.
