A Dream Home in the Hills
Berkeley, CA
Project Scope: Full-Home Furnishings / Partial Remodel / Art / Rugs / Styling
Tucked beneath towering trees and lush greenery, this 1930s Spanish bungalow sits quietly in the hills, waiting to be filled with life. For a young family of four, it became the perfect place to slow down, grow roots, and create memories together.
Our clients—a real estate investor and a nurse live life on the move between Michigan, the Bay Area, and Los Angeles. After long days and constant travel, this home was designed to be their retreat: relaxed, welcoming, and deeply personal.
Guided by a love for natural materials and honoring the home’s Spanish heritage, the space was thoughtfully reimagined with lime-plastered walls, reclaimed ceiling beams, a brick fireplace, and an antique wrought-iron chandelier anchoring the living room. Soft linens, rattan textures, and curated vintage pieces add warmth throughout, while each bedroom was designed to reflect the individuality of the children, complete with their own creative workspaces.
The result is a home that feels timeless and lived-in—an intimate, storybook setting made for a family to grow into and enjoy for years to come.
