Project Scope: Full-Home Furnishings / Window Treatments / Art / Rugs / Styling

This luxury residence, defined by clean architectural lines, a refined galley kitchen, and warm foundational finishes, presented a rare opportunity: a fully realized structure offering a true blank canvas for a considered interior narrative.

The clients—a successful, well-traveled couple following the sale of their company—approached the project with a clear sense of intention. After years of professional momentum, they sought to create a home centered on ease, longevity, and everyday refinement. Designed for the next chapter of life, the space needed to support long workdays, frequent entertaining, and the evolving rhythms of a growing family—while remaining inherently low-maintenance and quietly luxurious.

Inspired by Japandi principles and Japanese design philosophy, the interiors emphasize restraint, balance, and material integrity. A rich yet calming palette unfolds through warm walnut tones and elevated Taj Mahal quartzite used throughout the home, creating an atmosphere that feels composed, grounded, and timeless rather than overtly ornate. Here, luxury is expressed through cohesion and clarity—not excess.

Within the open-concept layout, flow and durability guided every decision. Solid walnut furnishings soften the home’s crisp architectural edges, introducing warmth and tactility. The entry sequence is anchored by a foyer clad in Taj Mahal quartzite, establishing a serene, almost meditative arrival experience. In the main living space, custom walnut cabinetry frames a fireplace clad in black marble, creating a refined focal point that feels both modern and enduring. Acoustic treatments were thoughtfully integrated throughout—an essential yet invisible layer supporting both lively gatherings and moments of quiet retreat.

To further strengthen the relationship between indoors and out, a large Fleetwood-style sliding door draws natural light deep into the home while extending the living space seamlessly outdoors. This architectural gesture reinforces a sense of openness and airiness, allowing the residence to feel expansive and breathable within its urban context.

Throughout the home, every finish and furnishing was selected with longevity in mind—materials chosen not only for their beauty, but for their ability to age gracefully and support daily life with ease. The result is an urban sanctuary that feels intentional and enduring: monochromatic yet warm, minimal yet richly layered.

This project reflects our philosophy of designing homes around life transitions rather than trends. We create spaces that honor how our clients live today while anticipating how they will live tomorrow—homes that are quietly sophisticated, deeply personal, and designed to elevate everyday life with restraint and intention.

For those seeking a modern home that feels considered, timeless, and built for the long term, this is where our work truly excels.
